Purpose of the role?

The HR Director Germany will be responsible for coordinating and leading core HR activities in Germany across five industrial and office sites. You will work closely with local HR teams and in alignment with the HR strategy, local conduct, legal framework and cultural norms. In addition to these local level responsibilities, you will collaborate with the other business entities from Bunge in North and Central Europe. You will support the integrity of the activities carried out in terms of key HR processes for the segments that require regional and global level alignment accompanied with a business specific HR approach.

What will you do:

The HR Director will lead and coordinate all HR activities in Germany with a sense of integrity and in line with the Bunge Strategy, Values and Conduct.

Tasks & responsibilities:
  • Coordination of the B2B Segment Human Resources activities across the Bunge North & Central Europe Market, which support future business delivery and meet Bunge financial and strategic growth objectives.
  • Driving successful talent management into the Country & Segment ensuring the availability of a clear and up to date succession planning approach in close collaboration with the Center of Excellence (CoE), segment and country business leaders.
  • Overseeing the compensation and benefits planning process for the country and ensuring that we have a competitive compensation level; considering performance and the career-planning point of view, in accordance with the relevant market benchmarks.
  • Own the responsibility of specifying the optimum workforce requirements for the area of responsibility reflecting related plans into the employment cost budgets and making sure that all workforce needs are resourced through adequate talent acquisition operations.
  • Ensuring that all on-boarding processes are executed in line with the Bunge talent acquisition framework.
  • Makes sure that Bunge HR teams are structured and operating in a customer-oriented manner, providing value added HR services for the businesses and Bunge Employees, ensuring a good level employee experience within the scope of responsibility and a safe and a good place to work for people.
  • You will lead and deploy the employee engagement improvement process and external employee branding campaigns in line with the company corporate communication and EVP guidelines.
  • Ensures that the expected employee services delivery and segment HR strategy execution levels are realized, through working in close collaboration with other departments.
  • Owns the responsibility for the HR team development and engagement in the country and across the market, in terms of improving organizational capability and structure to create a high performing team that achieve identified objectives.
  • Acts as the guardian of the local and international conduct, legal framework and cultural norms in terms of activities carried out under the responsibility scope of B2B and Germany as a country.
  • Rigorously implements a zero-incident safety culture across the segment, as well as supporting and communicating safety actions adequately and effectively throughout the organization.

Who are you?

You are capable of building the required partnerships and have an excellent (internal) customer management. You are solution driven and bring a high level of energy to the team. You are an experienced (transformational) change manager and knows where to add value with the HR department. To get results you bring a positive and dynamic attitude and lead by example.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor degree and adequate level training
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of HR Experience, specifically in human resources generalist role
  • English and German fluency and other language skills a plus
  • Proven experience and knowledge and understanding of the labor Laws in Germany and preferably rest of EU regulations around labor
  • A deep understanding of business streamlines and commercial functions
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
